Manifest Your Goals, the Jim Carrey Way

Jim Carrey is a master of manifesting his goals. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Carrey revealed his manifestation tips for achieving his goals.

Carrey kept a check he wrote to himself in his wallet for $10 million for services rendered. He wrote this check when he had nothing, but the $10 million did materialize as payment for his role in Dumb and Dumber!

As an alternative to writing a check, you can create a vision board, (on paper, your phone, or computer). I have a vision board as my background for my phone screen, so I see it often. I materialized having lunch with Judge Judith Sheindlin and losing 40 pounds with these methods.

Carrey also visualized as he sat in his car at Mulholland Drive, Los Angeles.
It made him feel better to also visualize the things he wanted (this is important), he visualized directors being interested in him and people he respected saying they liked his work. He visualized already having the things he wanted but did not have yet.

So many people choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality. What we really want seems impossible, out of each, and ridiculous to expect so we never dare to ask the universe for it. I’m saying, I’m the proof that you can ask the universe for it.

Here are some more tips to help you manifest your dreams: 

1. Get clear about what you want.

The first step to manifesting your goals is to get clear about what you want and write this down. What do you want to achieve? What are your dreams and aspirations? Once you have a good understanding of what you want, you can start taking steps to make it happen. 

Relax, and dream up a good life. It’s just about letting the universe know what you want and working toward it while letting go of how it comes to pass.

2. Believe that it’s possible.

Believe that it’s possible to have the life you want. If you don’t believe that it’s possible, then it probably won’t be. So, think positive and visualize yourself achieving your goals. See yourself succeeding, like Jim Carrey did, and feel the emotions that come with it. Remember that other people have achieved great things, despite the odds, and so can you, if you are serious about putting in consistent effort. 

3. Take action towards your goals.

Don’t just sit around and wait for things to happen; you have to make them happen. Jim Carrey had to take action, such as attend acting classes, going to auditions, etc. Start taking daily action to make progress. The more action you take, the sooner and closer you’ll get to your goal. And don’t forget to enjoy the journey!

You can fail at doing what you don’t love, so you might as well take a chance at doing what you do love.

4. Be persistent and never give up.

There will be times when it feels like you’re not making any progress, but don’t give up! Keep taking action and eventually, you will reach your goal. Many successful actors are ten-year overnight successes. You never know who you might meet, what role you will land, or how popular your song will be. Remember, anything worth having is worth fighting for. So never give up on your dreams and persist no matter what!

5 . Surround yourself with positive people who support your dreams.

These people will help keep you motivated and moving forward when times are tough. Find a supportive community of like-minded artists, successful mentors, or a group of friends who will help cheer you on and support you in achieving your goals. 

These are some top tips for manifesting your goals. If you follow these tips, you’ll be well on your way to achieving what you set your mind to.
